At Lake House School, we recognise that every child’s learning journey is unique. Many of our pupils have experienced disruption, anxiety, or barriers to learning in previous settings. Our enhanced curriculum is therefore carefully designed to meet pupils where they are, rebuild confidence, and support them to achieve both academically and personally.
Our curriculum is built around a clear and structured three-stage pathway: Securing, Exploring, and Soaring. This model ensures that every pupil receives the right level of support, challenge, and opportunity at the right time
Securing
The Securing stage focuses on helping pupils feel safe, settled, and ready to learn.
For some pupils, the priority is to rebuild trust in education, develop emotional regulation, and establish positive routines.
Exploring
The Exploring stage supports pupils to broaden their learning, develop independence, and take increasing ownership of their progress.
Soaring
The Soaring stage is about enabling pupils to achieve their full potential and prepare for the next stage of their education or life.

Pupils in this stage are supported to see themselves as capable, successful learners with positive futures.
